The terms haven’t been agreed to yet, but it’s likely that Sherman will be inked before the commencement of May’s draft. As one of the leaders for the Seahawks’ dominant defense, Richard Sherman should wind up as the highest paid corner in the NFL.

In 2013, Sherman led all NFL corners with eight interceptions One of the best parts of Richard Sherman’s game is that he talks big and plays even bigger. In a position that’s solely built on confidence, Sherman brings enough for a whole defensive backfield.

During his three seasons in the NFL, Sherman has garnered 20 interceptions. It will be hard for the numbers to go up as more teams will avoid his side of the field. In the last two seasons, Sherman had eight interceptions each year, but his pass breakups dropped from 24 to 16.

Still, he had the most memorable play of the NFC Championship game with the game saving deflection of Colin Kaepernick’s potential game winning touchdown pass. Most people may remember it for his post game comments, but that single play advanced Seattle into the Super Bowl.

According to, Sherman is guaranteed to surpass Aqib Talib’s $26 million with the Denver Broncos.

It looks like the NFC West will have to deal with Richard Sherman for many years to come. Richard Sherman has the chance to be the best cornerback ever, and the 12th man will be there to witness it.
