Seattle Seahawks releases Chris Clemons

Chris Clemons has been released from the Seattle Seahawks.
Seattle Times

On March 12 NFL reports that the Seattle Seahawks has released pass rusher Chris Clemons, seeing him as "collateral damage" since Michael Bennett was re-signed.

Clemons missed the first two games last season because of an ACL injury from the 2012 playoffs. He started 14 games last year, which included the playoffs, but wasn't the same player he was during his first three seasons with Seahawks when he gained 33.5 sacks.

Cutting Clemons saves the team salary cap $7.5 million. He is still returning to form after his ACL injury an was voted 85 on the free agent tracker. He should be a likely candidate for the Jacksonville Jaguars since former coach, Gus Bradley is there, but at this time, nobody's talking and he hasn't been picked up yet.

Do you think that cutting ties with Clemons was a good move for the Seahawks?
