Seattle Seahawks ready to take on the Redskins on Sunday

The 12th Man is alive and kicking in Seattle this weekend.

Starting on Friday when fans lined up by the hundreds on the road to Seattle-Tacoma Airport to wave to the team as they passed by on their way to Washington DC for the wild card game against the Redskins, and continuing into the weekend, celebrations abound.

“We just want to send them off with a lot of energy,” said one fan.

Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn hoisted a 12th Man flag atop the Space Needle and the ever-popular Top Pot Donuts sold goodies decorated with Seahawks colors. The popular item sold out quickly, but Top Pot said they would be serving more all weekend long.

Everywhere you looked on Friday, people were proudly sporting the blue and green for Blue Man Friday.

Century Link Field, the Great Wheel on the Seattle Waterfront and the Pacific Science Center arches were all adorned in Seahawks colors.

Fans will gather throughout the State on Sunday to watch the game.
