According to a Jan. 18 tweet from the Seattle Seahawks, the team is proud to welcome UFC bantamweight contender Miesha Tate (13-5) as a special guest for their NFC Championship Game appearance against the San Francisco 49ers.
"@MieshaTate Honored to have one of Washington's finest join us," the Seahawks tweeted from their official Twitter handle.
The tweet was a response to Tate's original post about how she planned to be at the game.
"I am SO excited to be attending the @Seahawks game tomorrow! Im gonna lose my voice I know it! #GoHawks #12thMan," Tate tweeted.
Tate, 27, is a lifelong Seattle Seahawks fan and she always does her part to show support for Washington-based sports teams.
Tate even went so far as to paint her nails bright green in honor of the Seahawks.
In early-January, Tate passionately defended her Seahawks fandom after a fan called her out for essentially being a fairweather fan.
Tate, who was born and raised in Tacoma, Wash., admits she has a lot to learn about the team, but she says she has every right to support her home state by wearing Seahawks apparel in photos on her social media pages.
"@EricHolden @00Snowflake @Seahawks I still have things to learn but Ive always rooted for the @Seahawks and I always will!!" Tate tweeted.
The Seattle Seahawks host the San Francisco 49ers on Jan. 19, and the winner will advance to Super Bowl XLVIII.
