Seattle Beatles cover band Crème Tangerine announced Jan. 8 it will once again celebrate the anniversary of The Beatles last performance famously known as “The Rooftop Concert.” The group will perform songs from that concert, as well as Fab Four favorites and more on beginning at a free concert at noon Jan. 24 on the rooftop balcony of the Copacabana Café in the Pike Place Market, 1520 ½ Pike Place, Seattle.

The concert will take place on the last Friday of January at noon, the same day and time historically The Beatles last performance took place on the rooftop of Apple Records in London in 1969.

“It’s been so cool these past few years to see the streets of Pike Place Market packed shoulder-to-shoulder with people celebrating the music of the Beatles on the last Friday of January,” said Jeff Lockhart, drummer of Crème Tangerine. “This music truly is a common bond people share together. We look forward to this year’s show to be our best ever!”

This year’s performance will highlight the hunger relief work of The Pike Place Market Foundation Food Bank. The Pike Place Market Foundation Food Bank will be on hand to receive canned food and donations in their work to battle hunger.
