Seattle’s best charity event, An Incredible Feast supports local farmers markets

An Incredible Feast is one of Seattle farmers markets most enjoyable charity events. The evening features locally grown foods deliciously prepared by over two dozen of Washington’s best chefs paired with local wines and beers and the opportunity for guests to mingle with the chefs and farmers behind the food. The seventh annual Feast takes place on Sunday, October 9, 2011, from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Swanson's Nursery in north Seattle, a sparkling greenhouse setting with room for 300 guests.

As an annual benefit dinner by the Neighborhood Farmers Market Alliance (NFMA), proceeds from the evening’s festivities directly support farmer advocacy, free community events, local food education, and essential support for the Good Farmer Fund, which helps local farmers with disaster relief. The non-profit NFMA is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to preserving Washington’s farmland by operating sustainable farmers markets and working to support farmers. The NFMA is registered with the Washington State Charity Program. Conceived by local celebrity Chef Tamara Murphy, the evening is organized by Chef Tamara and the NFMA with the support of area sponsors.
