Seattle Mariners Spring Training news for 2014 reveals when pitchers and catchers will be reporting to the team facilities down in Arizona. A report from late Thursday (Jan. 9) reveals that the battery contingent will report on Feb. 13, with the rest of the players coming into town on Feb. 18. The days are quickly counting down to when the team can start getting in shape for the 2014 campaign.

It is expected that pitchers Taijuan Walker and James Paxton, as well as catcher Mike Zunino will draw a lot of attention from fans this season. All three players are expected to make the 25-man roster and possibly make a big impact for the team. The big names for Feb. 18 include Robinson Cano, Corey Hart, and Logan Morrison. Those are three hitters that the team acquired this offseason and all of whom need to play well for the team to make a push toward the postseason.

There is still a little over a month of time before the 2014 Seattle Mariners Spring Training campaign begins, but it's hard for fans not to get excited this early. With a lot of time left until players start reporting for the season, it's also possible that several more players get added to the active roster. Whether that be through free agency or via a trade or two, it is likely to create even more buzz before Feb. 13 finally arrives on the calendar.

The first preseason game will come on Feb. 27 when the Mariners host the San Diego Padres at 12:05 p.m. PT.
