Day 5 of the Seattle International Film Festival celebrates one of today's best actors: Oscar-nominee and "12 Years a Slave" star Chiwetel Ejiofor.

"An Evening with Chiwetel Ejiofor" -- Best Actor Academy Award nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor will be on hand to receive the SIFF Award for Outstanding Achievement in Acting. He will also screen "Columbite Tantalite" - a short film Ejiofor directed - followed by the featured presentation of his new film "Half of a Yellow Sun" and a Q&A to wrap up the evening.

This film screens at 6 p.m. PT at the Egyptian Theatre.

"Regarding Susan Sontag" -- Acclaimed actress Patricia Clarkson narrates this collection of interviews and archival footage spotlighting the pioneering filmmaker and political activist Susan Sontag.

Director Nancy Kates is scheduled to attend tonight's screening.

This film's final SIFF screening begins at 4 p.m. PT at Harvard Exit.

"Firestorm" -- A hardened Hong Kong police inspector decides the only way to take down a merciless crew of criminals is to become just as merciless.

This one-night-only SIFF engagement screens at 7 p.m. PT at SIFF Uptown.

"DamNation" -- This doc examines man's impressive ability to harness nature to generate electricity, as well as the effects dams have on ecosystems.

Director Travis Rummel and producer Matt Stoecker are scheduled to attend this screening.

This film screens at 4:30 p.m. PT at SIFF Uptown, with a follow-up screening May 28.
