Seattle International Film Festival 2014 day 16 suggestions

Day 16 of the Seattle International Film Festival begins what could be the very best weekend of movies during the entire 25 day festival. Today's top suggestions include stories about a food tasting trip with two comedians, a emerging/quirky musician who never takes off a papier-mâché head and the return of Nazi zombies laying waste to Norway.

"The Trip to Italy" -- This follow-up to the hilarious, low-key comedy "The Trip" follows Oscar-nominated actor/writer Steve Coogan and actor Rob Brydon as they once again tour beautiful landscapes, eat gourmet dishes and endlessly rib each other. (watch the trailer)

"Frank" -- Oscar-nominated Michael Fassbender ("12 Years a Slave," "X-Men: Days of Future Past") plays an eccentric leader of an avent-garde band who absolutely refuses to take off a giant papier-mâché head. His peculiarities come at a bad time just as his band begins to gain recognition and is invited to play SXSW. (watch the trailer)

"Dead Snow: Red vs. Dead" -- The sole survivor of a bloody slaughter in the Norwegian wilderness - at the hands of an army of Nazi zombies - wakes up in a hospital after losing an arm in the "Dead Snow." But his nightmare begins again when he discovers doctors have mistakenly reattached the zombie leader's arm to him. (watch the trailer)

Actor Martin Starr ("Silicon Valley," "Party Down") is scheduled to appear at this screening.

"The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared" -- For his 100th birthday, Allan Karlsson decides to escape his retirement home and finds himself on a misadventure, crossing paths with angry skinheads, elephants and running from the authorities and a various new enemies.
