Battlestar Galactica fans can revisit both versions of the show at an amazing exhibit at the Experience Music Project / Sci-Fi Museum in Seattle.
Fans of all ages will be able to see costumes and props from both series, watch new exhibition films, view two human and one Cylon full size prop spaceships and more. The exhibit is divided into four areas:
Creation of Battlestar Galactica
Both the 1978 and 2003 versions of the popular sci-fi series are explored. Learn how both two versions of the show came about as well as their major story lines and conflicts. This section contains informative storyboards and concept sketches.
Battlestar Galactica - The Complete Epic Series
Battlestar Galactica: The Complete 2004 Series
Humans and Cylons
Younger Battlestar Galactica will especially be drawn to this area that focuses on some of the show’s major characters. There are 15 costumes and multiple props from favored characters including Commander Adama, the Imperious Leader, Starbuck, number Six and Boomer. There is also a Human/Cylon identity interactive to test fans knowledge.
The Search
Concentrating on the shows search for the lost colony of Earth. Also covered are the crews’ issues during the quest as they face questions of spirituality, freedom and universal fate.
The Ships
This is the other section sure to excite the younger (and young at heart) Battlestar Galactica fans.Three 30 feet long ship props of the Viper Mark II, Viper Mark X11 and the Cylon Raider. To trigger even more memories from the series’ fans can view some of the props, storyboards and concept art of the three ships. There are also film clips to watch and interactive displays to tackle.
