The Seasons 52 Restaurants are known for their extensive wine bar and oak fire grilling but are also gaining a reputation for bringing music to their customers in their piano bar. Talented musicians from Berklee College of Music and other independent artists are featured nightly in the restaurants piano bar which makes for an entertaining evening listening to upcoming Boston talent.

The performer changes each week. Examiner caught up with two of the artists, Liz Tobias and Seth Campbell.

Liz Tobias hails from Adelaide, Australia and holds a Bachelor of Music with Honors in Jazz Performance from the Elder Conservatorium of Music. She is a vocalist who has been recognized as a “breath of fresh air on the world jazz stage.” She is a unique mix of soul and sharp technique, who draws audiences in with her Australian charm and creative interpretations of works old and new.

In 2009 Tobias was ranked 3rd in the prestigious National Jazz Awards (Australia) in 2012. She's a veteran of the Jazz summer festival circuit and has performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), the Panama Jazz Festival and the Easy Jazz Festival in Poland. She has worked with jazz greats Quincy Jones, Dave Holland, David Linx, James Morrison and Jarek Smietana.

Tobias is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Musical Arts in Jazz Voice at the New England Conservatory under the guidance of leading jazz performers and educators and also holds a master’s degree from New England Conservatory, where she was chosen to work with Grammy award-winning singer Luciana Souza in a special concert featuring Souza’s music.

Seth Campbell is a young singer/songwriter and multi instrumentalist performer based in Boston, Massachusetts. Due to his poor eyesight (born with glaucoma), Campbell learns music predominately by ear and memorization, which allows him to maintain a wide ranging repertoire, covering many eras and genres. Campbell has studied with musicians from many different walks of life, and has performed with such diverse artists such as the Peruvian folk group Inca Son and the Boston rock band The Brew. He is currently studying at Berklee College of Music, majoring in songwriting.
