For those of us in Indianapolis who watch poker on television, I just received word that Season 9 for the World Poker Tour will be airing on Fox Sports Network on February 13th. There has been a substantial lull in any telelvision poker, but now that will all be taken care of. When you watch the WPT this season, try and learn something from those poker players. For example, keep track of players pot odds or implied odds. These are statistical parts of the game that in real time may be hard to keep track of, which is why you should practice this while watching the WPT.
Now that Season 9 is underway, that means that the Hollywood Poker Open, held in Lawrenceburg Indiana, isn't too far off. That tournament will be held at the Hollywood Casino on April 9 - 13 2011. Keep reading articles in the future for insight on where you could participate in a satelite to possibly play in the Hollywood Poker Open, unless you are going to buy-in for a measly $10,000 :).
