The season three premiere of “Revenge” is just days away and fans are eagerly awaiting the outcome of Emily’s reveal to Jack that she’s the real Amanda, seconds before Jack was about to shoot Conrad Grayson for his role in the death of Jack’s brother, Declan.
"When we pick up, there’s a lot of tension between Jack and Emily. He’s pretty damn mad at her and he’s trying to go on with his life despite not having seen justice with Conrad (Grayson). He’s trying his hand at just letting (Conrad) live and get away with it, but at a certain point he finds it untenable,” Wechsler said. “It’s boiling just under the surface that he’s got to get revenge. It doesn’t take much to set him off again on his path."
In regard to the loss of Declan, Jack will be hiding his pain very well, at least for now, Wechsler said.
“Jack’s day to day looks much the same, we’re not seeing him process that loss, but we know it’s what he’s feeling. So, you find that stuff comes up, but it’s really kind of an engine," he added. "It’s this thing that drives him and his rage is just under his skin.”
Wechsler revealed that a romantic relationship between Jack and Emily isn’t going to happen right now, but he doesn’t reveal whether or not another kind of relationship – partners in revenge, perhaps – may form between the pair.
"I think their relationship is the key and I think if we get them together, people will stop saying they want it to happen," Wechsler said. "I think it’s smarter to make people want them to get together than actually getting them together."
Maybe Jack and Emily will join forces – with Nolan’s help, of course – and seek revenge on the Graysons? After all, even if Jack is mad at Emily, the pair does share a common enemy…
“Revenge” stars Emily VanCamp as Emily Thorne, Madeleine Stowe as Victoria Grayson, Henry Czerny as Conrad Grayson, Josh Bowman as Daniel Grayson, Nick Wechsler as Jack Porter, Gabriel Mann as Nolan Ross, Christa B. Allen as Charlotte Clarke and Barry Sloane as Aiden Mathis.
“Revenge” season 3 premieres Sunday, September 29 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
