To further honor #19 Tony Gwynn, Searsucker San Diego, Searsucker Del Mar and Herringbone La Jolla will offer all menu items (normally priced above $19) for $19 on the day of this memorial.
James Brennan, CEO of Enlightened Hospitality Group says, "As a baseball fan from New York who grew up in the '80s and idolized Don Mattingly, it was impossible not to have known about Tony Gwynn. Also, having been someone who has spent the past 22 years calling San Diego home, it is impossible not to recognize the impact he has had on this great city. This is a small way our family can pay tribute to an amazing man."
For reservations please call 858.459.0221 for Herringbone La Jolla, 619.233.7327 for Searsucker San Diego and 858.369.5700 for Searsucker Del Mar.
The patch of Tony's retired 19 will join the star patch with the initials JC (in honor of broadcaster Jerry Coleman) and remain part of the Padre uniform for the rest of the season.
