Missing pregnant woman in Hawaii update: Cops turns up 'possible evidence'

An update on the missing pregnant woman in Hawaii offered some hope. Maui investigators said "possible evidence" was found, but would not elaborate, according to a Feb. 15 ABC News report. Carly Scott's burned-out SUV was found days after she went missing last Sunday. Her dog was also found unharmed. The pregnant woman went missing after meeting with the father of her unborn child after helping with his stalled car. He's not named a suspect at this time.

Police continue their search for the pregnant missing woman in Hawaii, but could be steps closer to unraveling the mystery of what happened to her and why her whereabouts remain unknown. The 27-year-old is five-months pregnant, has red hair, stands 5-foot-10, and weighs about 160 pounds, police say.

Scott's mother is reported as the last to see her daughter. Carly left her mom's home in sister's home in Haiku after receiving a call from her on-again-off-again boyfriend, Steven Capobianco.

Reportedly, Carly picked him up in her 1997 Toyota 4Runner and drove him several dozen miles away up Hana Highway to a location where he could attempt to fix his stalled truck.

Once he started the vehicle, Scott drove behind her boyfriend, who claimed he lost sight of her after a while. It didn't alarm him because he thought she arrived safely to her destination, this according to the ex-boyfriend.

I sent her a text that said, `thank you,' but I figured she was working, that's why she didn't get back to me right away. It wasn't until the cops showed up at my house at 5:30 in the morning the next day that I realized something was wrong," Capobianco told the media.

Related to the pregnant missing woman, Hawaii authorities questioned him and administered a lie-detector test, which he failed, claims Capobianco. However, he was allowed to go without being charged with a crime.

Scott's former lover says he and Carly's relationship has been rocky for several years, but he admits on occasion they "hook up." Of mention is that he is not quite sure he is the father of the unborn child.
