Search for the Golden Easter egg at Cincinnati Zoo

Easter egg hunts are in the works around the Tri-State area, but one particular event is back by popular demand, Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens is having an exciting Easter egg hunt that includes the search for the Golden Eggs. Besides the treat stations throughout the park there are several children’s activities, popular animal egg hunts and visits from the Easter Bunny.

One of the most popular events at the zoo is the Elephant Egg Smash, they stomp around paper-mache eggs filled with corn, grapes, sweet peas and oranges. And there are melons painted like large Easter eggs for the elephants to enjoy as well.

There will be four “Golden Eggs” hidden around the Zoo and if you find one turn it in at the Welcome Center for one of four great prizes. At 10 a.m. several animal events begin with Tigers with Treats at Cat Canyon, the Arctic Fox Egg Hunt and the Bonobo Egg Hunt at Jungle Trail.
