The FBI is investigating whether Cleveland serial killer suspect Anthony Sowell maybe connected to killings as far away as Japan.
The Associated Press quotes FBI spokesman Scott Wilson as saying the agency will look into any murders Sowell may have committed while serving as a Marine from 1978 to 1985.
The AP reports Sowell was station at Parris Island, S.C.; Cherry Points, N.C.; Camp Pendleton, Calif.; and Okinawa, Japan.
Over the past ten days, Police have recovered the remains of 11 women from Sowell's home in Cleveland. Authorities in the town of East Cleveland are investigating Sowell's possible connection to the murders of three women there.
Sowell, 50, is currently charged with five counts of aggravated murder.
