"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Adrienne Maloof is dating Sean Stewart, the 32-year-old son of legendary rocker Rod Stewart. In the midst of the controversy surrounding the age different, TMZ reported on Jan. 25 that Sean spoke out about the comments, calling them sexist.
Stewart's explanation was that little seems to be said about older men dating younger women, but when an older woman dates the younger man it is somehow newsworthy. Sean said that the controversy is sexist since no one complains when the roles are reversed.
Stewart also shot down rumors that he moved into Maloof's mansion, saying he has a place of his own. When rumors circulated that he was moving in with her, it caused her friends to speak up. Camille Grammer said she was happy that Maloof was happy, but felt she needed to slow things down.
Maloof just completed her divorce from Dr. Paul Nassif in December and "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" is presently showing her explosive confrontations with Brandi Glanville, after she accused Adrienne of lying about not using a surrogate to deliver her sons. Grammer feels that Maloof needs a break from the drama.
As for the drama about the age difference between the 51-year old Adrienne Maloof and Sean Stewart, he had a great word of advice.
"It's about the person she is inside. Age is just a number," Stewart said. "If there's a connection and someone cares about a person, that's what matters really."
