Bachelor-no-more Sean Lowe gave the most recent Bachelorette, Andi Dorfman, some advice about starting her new life (without cameras) with her beau, Josh Murray. Lowe, who seems very realistic about life and finding love on television, said that Andi and Josh need to work on their relationship and realize that everything isn't going to be a fairy tale. On July 29, Lowe posted a blog about Andi and Josh -- and how Andi and Josh should move forward after reality television.
"Truthfully, the advice should come at the end of the season. You see, what Andi and Josh don’t know is that they are just now embarking on the hard part. Nobody told Catherine and me that our toughest challenge would come after we rode those elephants off into the sunset. Falling in love while globetrotting the world was the easy part. Learning how to love someone you’ve spent a collective 20 hours with is the really hard part."
Sean Lowe and his wife, Catherine Giudici, seemed to work out all of the kinks following their time on The Bachelor. Sean seems to admit that things weren't always easy, but that he and Catherine took the time to get to know each other and to be sure that they were completely in love for the right reasons before they got married.
"So if I had the chance to give Andi and Josh some advice after the fact? I think I’d tell them that the post-show/pre-marriage time frame will be one of the most challenging. But mainly, I’d tell them not to elevate the other to the level of 'soul mate.' It sets everyone up for unrealistic expectations and emphasizes the romance over the hard work of building a relationship."
Sean Lowe went on to admit that his relationship with Catherine post-show took "work" and that it wasn't easy for him to adapt to a new life with a woman that was clearly his complete opposite -- but the two were able to make things work, and that's what is important.
Sean says that he wants the same for Andi and Josh, but he just hopes that they don't hold each other to such high expectations. While Hollywood Life seems to think that Sean was dissing Andi and Josh's romance, that doesn't seem to be the case at all. Sean is being honest, and if Andi and Josh take his advice, perhaps they will survive After The Final Rose too.
