Sean Lowe of 'The Bachelor' sends home Emily Maynard lookalikes (Video)

ABC premiered season 17 of “The Bachelor” on Monday, January 7 and Sean Lowe, 29, from Dallas Texas, the man Emily Maynard rejected on “The Bachelorette,” met 25 beautiful, single women hoping to heal his broken heart.

Sean Lowe, this season’s most eligible bachelor is trying to recover from the heartache he experienced with Emily Maynard on ‘The Bachelorette.” “The Bachelor” opened with Sean pouring out his heart, detailing how he felt when Emily rejected him. It was the first time in his life he pictured himself growing old with someone else.

When I told her that I loved her, in my heart I knew, I’m gonna spend the rest of my life with this one woman and I can’t wait…

But, Emily Maynard let him go rose less, and Sean Lowe was left blindsided and heartbroken.

More than anything, Sean wants a family and is hoping to find a wife and love with the 25 selections of sexy single women on “The Bachelor”.

Prior to meeting the bachelorettes he will be dating over the next few weeks, Sean Lowe had a fellow rejected cast mate, and good friend, Arie Luyendyk, offer him a comical touch of love and dating advice that also included kissing tips.

25 single, beautiful, sexy, demure, awkward and bizarre women were presented to Sean to ease his heartbreak from Emily Maynard in the hopes of being the one, however there were a few twists as is always the case to keep viewers tuned in. The first left brunette beauty, Tierra, 24, from Denver Colorado waiting on the sidelines as soon as she met “The Bachelor”. Sean Lowe walked away, asking the nervous bachelorette to wait for him as he retrieved a rose because she had a “magnetic energy” about her. Is it love at first sight? Will Tierra be the one who fills his heart with a future?

After all 25 arrived trying to impress, drunk, carrying hints of S&M, one wearing a wedding gown and a backflip gone bad, host Chris Harrison gave Sean the second twist of the night, someone who phoned in wanting to meet the newest bachelor, Kacie B., 25, of Ben’s season of “The Bachelor” from Clarksville Tennessee requesting to be the 26th bachelorette. The two have met prior to the airing and became fast friends, but Kacie has feelings for Sean she wants to explore.

As “spur of the moment” roses began to be handed out prior to the official ceremony, the claws were sprung, signaling that this is more than a dating game, it is a real competition, increasing the tension in the room. And when the final rose was finally given, it was quite clear that Sean Lowe is getting over his heartbreak by rejecting all of the blondes who looked eerily similar to Emily Maynard.

With a handful of these final relationships actually ending in marriage, the question remains, is a television show really worth all of the added drama and pressure that goes along with finding a soul mate? Season 17 of ‘The Bachelor’ with Sean Lowe airs Monday evening, 8/7c on ABC.
