Sean Lowe, from the most recent season of "The Bachelor," is participating in the 16th season of "Dancing with the Stars." The day after America watched Sean Lowe propose to Catherine Giudici on "The Bachelor" it was announced that he is now the 12th contestant on "Dancing with the Stars." USA Today reported on March 12, 2013, that Sean Lowe is joining the 2013 cast of "Dancing with the Stars."
Lowe is partnered up with professional dancer Peta Murgatroyd. Peta won "Dancing with the Stars" in season 14 with her partner Donald Driver. Sean Lowe's fiancé Catherine Giudici is very supportive of him doing "DWTS." The couple is also planning to have their upcoming wedding televised on ABC as soon as this summer.
Sean claims to have no dancing experience. He is in training with his partner Peta currently. He says, "Everything right now seems very unnatural, but I'm excited just to embrace the challenge. I'm sure the odds are stacked against me. I hope to make up for my lack of skill with time and my work ethic."
Other contestants from "The Bachelor" have appeared on "DWTS" in past seasons. Trista Sutter danced on the very first season of "DWTS" back in 2005. Jake Pavelka was partnered with Chelsie Hightower on season 10. Melissa Rycroft competed in "DWTS" season eight and returned last year to win the all-star season with her partner Tony Dovolani.
