The March 18 premiere of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” featured “The Bachelor” star Sean Lowe dancing a foxtrot with pro dancer Peta Murgatroyd. Unfortunately, the hunky entrepreneur didn’t exactly wow the judges with his dancing debut.
While Len Goodman told Sean he needs to “refine” his dancing (“It lacked finesse!” the grumpy judge barked), it was Bruno Tonioli who had the most comical commentary.
“For a dance virgin you have a very effective pelvic thrust… it was like a Chippendale’s version of ballroom dance,” he said.
While Sean landed in the middle of the pack with 19 points out of 30, his fiancé Catherine Giudici—who was cutely seated between Sean’s parents in the audience—looked worried.

After the show, Sean posted this picture to his Instagram account with the caption: Me and my gorgeous fiancée @catherinegiudici post dancing.”
Last week, Sean Lowe’s pro dancer partner Peta Murgatroyd told Us Weekly she’s ready to teach “The Bachelor” star how to do a proper waltz in time for his made-for-TV wedding to Giudici.
Peta also said, "He has already got some pretty good moves down. I definitely think Sean's gonna make it far. I think he's got all the determination and drive to win that mirror ball. I think he's pretty straight-laced, but I'm definitely gonna shake it up for him."
In the Philadelphia area, “Dancing with the Stars” airs on Monday and Tuesday nights on WPVI Channel 6.
