Has Sean Lennon found his own 'Yoko'? Just like famous Dad, John Lennon, who was artistically revitalized when he met avante garde artist Yoko Ono in the late 1960s, Sean Lennon, who has been searching for his niche in the music world has found a great partner, on and off stage, in Charlotte Kemp Muhl. The duo performed together in front of an intimate crowd of about 100 people in the quirky setting of the Masonic Lodge at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery on Friday, September 24.
The pair were introduced to the audience by Lennon family friend and publicist, Elliott Mintz, who humorously proclaimed Lennon and Muhl, who call themselves Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger (GOASTT), had just returned from a "successful tour in the Philippines."
Lennon appeared in a top hat and tails and Muhl was wearing a bonnet and dress both reminiscent of fashion from the 1920s and 1930s. The candlelit ambiance amidst the church-like setting set the tone for an intimate acoustic set that the duo performed for an hour. The performance was a 50/50 endeavor with Lennon and Muhl sharing beautiful harmonies and both playing their share of a variety of instruments.

The key to GOASTT's appeal is the perfect blending of their voices which was most evident in songs like "Lavendar Road" and "The World Was Made For Men" which can be downloaded for free via LA Weekly. (Click link on the left side of the page to listen to the MP3)
As a hint of things to come, last year, Sean and Charlotte recreated the famous Rolling Stone cover of a nude John Lennon curled up to a fully clothed Yoko Ono for Purple magazine. They reversed roles where Sean was fully clothed and Charlotte was nude. Muhl is a model who currently works for Maybelline.
The pair released their debut single, Jardin du Luxembourg, in July on Chimera Records, Lennon's private music label. GOASTT's first album, Acoustic Sessions, will be released on October 26.
Next weekend, Sean Lennon will be performing with his mother, Yoko Ono, in Los Angeles as part of The Plastic Ono Band for two special concerts. Lady Gaga is one of the special guests scheduled to appear on October 2.

Soon a John Lennon lovechild daughter will appear. That is why so many rock reunions. So many Lennon events. You know something is going on!!!
I liked your comment, my friend. Cheers! ;)
It's very strange to watch Sean at the piano, he looks so much like his dad John....and why shouldn't he :)
