Faux conservative Sean Hannity created a lot of controversy when he recently called Congressman Ron Paul nuts. He expanded on this last week, Monday, Dec.14th, by referring to Ron Paul's supporters as crazy.
During the Hannity radio show segment which aired at approximately 2:50PM (third hour) on KABC 790 radio Los Angeles, I clicked on the channel and heard Hannity caustically referring to "A Ron Paul presidency" saying something to the effect of "this is what you would get", comparing Paul's foreign policy ideals to the democrats. He went on to say that he likes some of Ron Paul's ideas but that a lot of Paul's supporters are crazy. I bring up this latest smear to point out that the establishment neocon pundits such as Hannity, Beck and O'Reilly do not really like constitutional or liberty-minded statesmen, but rather constantly strive to undermine them and their supporters.
Hannity audio archives are available but only at a subscription cost, which I am not willing to pay for since it's not worth the 6 bucks a month. I'm ashamed to admit that I used to listen to the Sean Hannity Show. He, Rush Limbaugh and other from the Sanctimonious Right have as little regard for the Constitution as the Left does, and both are leading our nation down the road to economic ruin as they selfishly enhance their own power and prestige by cultivating national discord. They are truly the Joseph Goebbelses of their day, and every bit as destructive.
Sean Hannity is the worst of the worse of neocons. He will never support the Constitution and Dr Paul because no matter what Hannity espouses, he is a big government supporter. I never heard Hannity even mention the constitution during the eight reckless years of Bush, but it has become a keyword since January. Sean Hannity is nuch much closer to Barack Obama in philosophy than he is to Ron Paul. He is a despicable human being.
Hannity? Is this guy still around? The only genius with an IQ of 60. I mean really, can you get any less intelligent than this guy?
Ron Paul supporters are crazy! We actually believe that people can make THEIR own CHOICES about health care, education, how to spend our money and how to think for ourselves. I don't need the government spending my money on endless, unconstitutional wars or giving it to people that won't work. If that is the new definition of crazy than I am. Ron Paul is a man that brings all people together because freedom is popular.
Sure Hannity, us Ron Paul supporters are crazy you say. But you want to know what I think is crazy? Undeclared wars, having George W. Bush run up 500 billion dollar deficits, Medicare D, curbing civil liberties, not addressing the 106 trillion in liabilities that will make my generation be taxed to the hilt, etc. Ron Paul is the only sane member in Congress.
A Ron Paul presidency would be fantastic. Until that time, keep supporting Campaign for Liberty candidates, donate to moneybombs, and don't let the neocons define conservatism. Conservatism is measured by adherence to the Constitution, not adherence to the Republican platform. We need to remind the likes of Hannity, Limbaugh, and the GOP at every chance we get.

Not exactly the most articulate spokesman for Ron Paul and the Libertarian/Conservative position, however well-meaning. I wouldn't trust Sean Hannity as far as I could throw him, but we need to learn from this fiasco. Stay cool, avoid name-calling like the plague, stick to the pertinent issues, favor questions over position statements and accusations. This caller makes it too easy to call Ron Paul supporters "nuts", simply because he lost his cool. Face it, we are in the underdog position, so any mistake will be put on loudspeaker, most of the good stuff will get greyed out.
Lessons learned:
1) Stay calm.
2) Start with agreement, e.g. what Hannity said re payraises.
3) Follow with question, e.g. "What exactly do you mean by..." , or "So what do you like about Ron Paul's platform?"
4) If you are going to take a shot, make it precise and dispassionate.
5) Write down the point you want to make so you don't get flustered.
6) Stay friendly. And calm. (Did I mention calm?)

I see this as a win for liberty. Anytime this establishment promoting rhetoric gets attacked in any manner it is a positive. Albeit the more civil and tactful one can be, the better the win is for our movement. I can imagine how difficult it must be, however, to talk to Hannity as he cuts you off repeatedly and cites unconstitutional supreme court cases. I would not have been able to present myself in a manner even to this caller's level.
Darryl, I unfortunately used to listen to Hannity and the likes as well. I used to support war and support torture. I actually did a presentation in college on the need and benefit of the PATRIOT act. I was an active duty Marine for 4 years and had the "nuke them sons-a-bitches" attitude for far too long. But now I am living proof that this hateful, war mongering, ignorance can be shattered and a free thinking sovereign individual can be emerge.
I would not put Beck and O'Riely in there with Hannity.
Hannity is a dumb idiot jock who got on the radio, but learning to regurgitate the words of other conservative' who do have brains.
Its obvious the guy has never had an original thought beyond what color Truck he should drive or if silver tips on boots are going out of style.
He is a total idiot, and its VERY easy to tell when you listen to him.
At least Beck and O'Reilly have brains between their ears...and while O'Reilly is just a 'normal guy' who thinks that MGD is exotic beer, I do believe that Beck really does understand.
Most people will say anything to make money. Sean is not immune to such Greed. I'm sure he really cares about main street when he receives his 6+ digiti paycheck.
Sean Hannity is an unfortunate individual.
It's time to quit listening to Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. Listening to these guys is a sure way to continue the status quo. Sean and Rush both love the Big Government that they claim to dislike. They just want a slightly smaller and slightly more efficient Big Government.
Both of these guys need the current system. If there was actual substantive change these guys would be out of business before sunset.
