Sean Chambers played Darwin's Friday night and he was amazing! I got to meet him his wife and her aunt and uncle and they were all very nice. Sean thanked me several times for the review of his CD I posted here. He said he hoped I would like the concert as well as I liked the CD and I did!
The place was crowded to the point that there was no parking and several people who had planned to come were unable to find a spot and had to leave so next time you plan to come to Darwin's on a weekend you might want to consider carpooling. The crowd was very enthusiastic as Chambers played songs from his new Rock House Sessions CD and a few from earlier projects. Among the songs he played while we were there (we left shortly after 11 pm) were "World On Fire" and "Healing Ground" and my favorite song from the new CD, "Choo Choo Mama." He played others as well but I was having such a good time and not writing down titles as usual so I don't remember exactly what else. But it all had great energy and vocals and music were all excellent. The new keyboard player, Paul Brown, was a lot of fun to watch too! He was constantly moving and seemed to be having a fantastic time.
It was a great show and I strongly recommend that you see Sean Chambers whenever you get a chance, and in the meantime, pick up the new CD, The Rock House Sessions!
