According to a report posted on NFL.com, Seattle Seahawks cornerback, Richard Sherman, was fined $7,875 on Friday for unsportsmanlike conduct/ taunting during the NFC Championship game against the San Francisco 49ers.

The fine was due to his offering a handshake to 49er wide receiver Michael Crabtree following a pass deflection that caused an interception and ensured the win for the Seahawks, the report stated, as well as the "choke" gesture that Sherman made toward 49er quarterback Colin Kaepernick. However, according to the report, the fine was not given as punishment for Sherman's much-talked-about post game interview with Erin Andrews.
