Seahawks' Hill arrested on domestic violence charge

Seattle Seahawks linebacker Leroy Hill was arrested Wednesday on charges of domestic violence, assault, and unlawful imprisonment stemming from a reported dispute with his girlfriend. The alleged victim, who's name is being withheld due to privacy concerns, is 26 years old and identified Hill as her boyfriend. She was treated at Swedish Hospital in Issaquah and released.

The alleged victim told police that Hill had assaulted her several times that day, and blocked her when she attempted to leave the residence on Cougar Ridge Drive Northwest. She also stated that he had taken her cell phone as a precaution against her being able to call for help.

Hill was arrested without further incident on Tuesday and taken to Issaquah City Jail. He will be booked into King County Jail, according to police, on a count of third-degree assault and unlawful imprisonment.

The 30 year old linebacker has a significant history of contact with law enforcement. He was arrested for domestic violence in Issaquah in 2010, a case that was continued and ultimately resolved without a conviction. He was also twice picked up in Georgia for suspicion of drug use, once when he reportedly fell asleep at a stop light. His latest drug arrest, in 2012, was dismissed when he passed a drug test.
