Talk about going top drawer. Seabourn just announced that world-renowned design icon Adam D. Tihany has been tapped to work his ground-breaking artistic magic on the interior of its yet un-named ship that is under construction in Italy. The designer was selected to create a sweeping design vision that will cover the spa, showrooms; casino and lounges; outdoor deck areas; and the innovative and popular Seabourn Square multi-purpose space.
Tihany is world famous for his celebrity chef restaurant projects (think Thomas Keller, Daniel Boulud, Jean Georges Vongerichten, Charlie Palmer, Heston Blumenthal, Paul Bocuse and Wolfgang Puck) and luxury properties (Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas, King David Hotel in Jerusalem, The Oberoi Hotel in New Delhi, The Beverly Hills Hotel, The Breakers in Palm Beach and Hotel Cipriani in Venice), "Adam Tihany's artistic sensibilities are a wonderful match with Seabourn," said Richard D. The addition of the 604-passenger, 40,350-GRt ship is part of a fleet expansion that began in 2009 with the launch of Seabourn Odyssey, followed by Seabourn Sojourn (2010) and the Seabourn Quest (2011).
