If you're traveling out of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport this holiday, there's plenty going on, from parking discounts and prizes to holiday entertainment and travel tips. SEA will be a bit brighter this season if you've got the tools!
Holiday Traffic Numbers: It's not the busiest time of the year (that's summer), but there are three days in December that see the most passengers coming in and out of the airport: Dec. 21 (93,000); Dec. 22 (96,000); Dec. 23 (94,000). Discount Airport Parking: Save up to $10/day during the holiday travel period with discounts at the airport garage. Park at the Sea-Tac Airport garge in General Parking and get $8 off the regular rate. Park in Terminal Direct, the fastest access to the terminal, and it's $10 off the regular daily rate. Valid Dec. 16-Jan. 2, minimum three-day stay is required. There's also a weekly rate of $99 in General Parking for the same time period. Download a coupon from the airport website.
Holiday Gift Wrap: Once you're at the airport, there are options for wrapping gifts post-security. Gift wrapping will be provided at two stations: Central Terminal, staffed by Highline Community College Chorale volunteers and Concourse A, where Airport Jobs will be in the vicinity of the escalators to the south train station.
Holiday Entertainment & Prizes: Check out the entertainment schedule for performances Dec. 16-24 throughout Sea-Tac Airport. Merchants at Sea-Tac Airport are participating in a Microsfot Tag promotion, and travelers with smartphones find out about prizes (including Alaska Airlines tickets). Store specials by downloading an application that reads tags with special barcodes.
