The county mobile app that gives San Diegans real time emergency info at their fingertips, SD emergency, now has new features, and a Recovery guide and control.
Supervisor Ron ROberts encourged San Diegans to download the major upgrade for smart phone and tablet users. He asked "all San Diegans to Resolve to be Ready" in 2014. "The upgraded app makes it easy to keep that resolution." Making family disaster plans and checklists used to survive 72 hours, while staying informed, can happen faster. Wildfires, even following another drought year, are not too tough a test to take on.
Download the upgraded app at Apple App and Google Play stores. Old troubles using the app with Androids were fixed by changing the code to be compatible with new Android devices. The code also improve compatibility with operating system versions.
New ready and recovery icons make the new SD Emergency version an easier thing to use. Notifications give citizens better notice on emergencies.
