Microsoft and 343 Industries released a batch of screenshots from the next episode of Spartan Ops earlier today. The images feature both gameplay from the episode as well as the new CG cinematic. Check them out in the slide show above.
Episode eight is scheduled to be released next week with two more episodes released in the two weeks following that. There will be ten total episodes in season one. All are free to play, of course.
Spartan Ops is one of the best parts of Halo 4 as far as co-operative play goes. It is a very in-depth game mode as each episode consists of five chapters. With ten episodes per season, that is 50 chapters of co-op gameplay to enjoy. There will probably be additional seasons in the future as well which gives Halo 4 a long shelf life. The only downside is that you need an Xbox LIVE Gold membership and online connectivity to actually play Spartan Ops missions.
