Today, Scream Franchise Examiner is excited to announce an exclusive contest that will leave you dying to win. Also, your very first look at Fun World's new Ghost Face® logo …
The prize: One Ghost Face® mask SIGNED by director Wes Craven (with a letter of authenticity), courtesy of the generous folks at Fun World.
But first, join Scream Franchise Examiner in wishing Wes Craven a happy birthday. The director partied it up in Michigan on Saturday (though his actual day of birth is today), and Fun World participated in the celebration by sending a surprise arrangement to the set (see picture below). In the style of a movie screen -- and boasting the new Ghost Face® logo, for those of you with discerning eyes -- the display stands 3 feet wide, 3 feet long, and 2 feet deep. (Actor David Arquette also posted a picture of the “killer” cake on Twitter.)
A few words about Fun World …
Fun World has been in business for more than 45 years. Perhaps best known as the creator/registered owner/copyright owner/licensor and manufacturer of Ghost Face®, the company is also arguably the world’s largest seller of non-licensed costumes. In addition to their Halloween-themed merchandise, they also have products for Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, and Christmas. Fun World’s parent company, Easter Unlimited Inc., sells more Easter games, toys, eggs, and egg decorating kits combined than anyone else globally.
Fun World Division/Easter Unlimited Inc. has offices in Long Island, Pennsylvania, Washington and Hong Kong, with showrooms located in New York City and Hong Kong.
Now, I wanna play a game …
To win your very own (and very collectible) iconic face of fear signed by the “master of suspense” Wes Craven, there are certain rules you must abide by.
Here are your five tasks:
1) Write a poem about Ghost Face®
2) Do a two minute video for YouTube with music or rap involving Ghost Face®
3) Get Wes Craven to reply to you on Twitter using Ghost Face®, Fun World AND Scream in the same Tweet (You must also follow Scream Franchise Examiner, known as @OyeJohn52, on Twitter. SFE will follow you back for the duration of the contest. This will allow SFE to verify that you have met this particular aspect of the challenge.)
4) Submit a photo proving your enthusiasm for Scream and Ghost Face®
5) Name the actress who "touched" Ghost Face® in a comedy movie other than Scary Movie
**Note: While you are encouraged to be creative and unique with your submissions, all entries
must be appropriate and in good taste, and must adhere to the confines of the law.**
You will have up to 30 days to complete this challenge. The first person to submit proof of having successfully accomplished all five tasks in their entirety to Scream Franchise Examiner by email at OyeJohn52@aol.com will win the mask upon verification. The subject line of any email pertaining to this challenge should read 'Scream Contest.' All entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM ET on September 1, 2010. (This contest is open to participants worldwide who are 18 years of age or older. Individuals who are either currently affiliated with Fun World and/or the Scream films, or have been in the past, and their relatives, are not eligible to participate.)
Should nobody complete all five assigned tasks by the given date, the person who has completed the greatest number of tasks in the shortest amount of time will be named the winner. This means that you should email Scream Franchise Examiner each time that you complete one of the tasks rather than waiting to submit them in their entirety.
(Note: Examiner.com does not endorse, and is not affiliated, with this contest. Additionally, the collection of personal information is strictly prohibited within this site. All such correspondence should be directed to the author in the manner specified above. By participating in this contest, you release the author and Fun World/Easter Unlimited Inc. of any and all liability surrounding this promotion.)
Coming next Monday: An exclusive in-depth interview with R.J. Torbert, Director of Licensing/Product Development for Fun World.

...could anyone pull off all five of those things? That's absurd. Make it "Complete ONE of these tasks", and you might be able to get some traction here. I mean, how many people have actually submitted all five of these things? I'm betting on "None".
First, I did not set the rules--I simply abide by them. Second, there have been several people who have already accomplished four of the five tasks. So it can be done, and it will be. The reason that the contest is challenging is that the prize is rare, and thus highly desirable to SCREAM fans. There are people out there who are willing, and eager, to put in the effort...
