Scotty McCreery spent part of the holiday season in the Dominican Republic helping underprivileged children by giving them shoe boxes filled with school supplies and other necessities.
The ‘American Idol’ winner recently posted a photo on his Twitter account of himself and one boy he helped on his trip to the Dominican Republic. Scotty also posted a few messages on his Twitter and shared his experience with his fans. He wrote;
“Great day here in the DR w/ operation Christmas child! Here's one of the little boys who got a slinky in his box today!”
“Time for another great day w/ some cool kids here in the DR! I'll tell you abou it tonight!”
“Found some wifi at lunch.. Haha. Such an incredible time already today! Gave out boxes n had the chance to donate a guitar to the church!”
Scotty was working with Operation Christmas Child to help give to those in need.
