Scotty McCreery is doing his part to help out. Fans of "American Idol" remember that he loves baseball and also country music. On Sept. 7, Taste of Country reported that Scotty just made a $50K donation to help youth baseball programs. That is a lot of money for a great cause.
He is actually going to six different cities and giving out money at each of them. This equals out to $50K total that Scotty will give out by the time he is done. Scotty says that he has learned great lessons from playing sports and being part of a team. He wants other youth to have this opportunity and be able to learn from the same experiences he did.
If you want to check it out, here is the schedule of where Scotty will be showing up to give out money:
9/8 – San Diego, Calif. | San Diego Padres v. Colorado Rockies, PETCO Park
9/12 – Philadelphia, Penn. | Philadelphia Phillies v. San Diego Padres, Citizens Bank Park
9/15 – Chicago, Ill. | Chicago White Sox v. Cleveland Indians, Comiskey Park/U.S. Cellular Field
9/22 – Washington, D.C. | Washington Nationals v. Miami Marlins, Nationals Park
9/27 – Atlanta, Ga. | Atlanta Braves v. Philadelphia Phillies, Turner Field/State Mutual Stadium
