Scotts Valley Rotary Crab Feed benefits Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

The Scott Valley Rotary Club introduces the 1st Annual Crab Feed Fundraiser on Saturday, Jan. 19, 5 - 9 p.m. at the Scotts Valley Community Center, 360 Kings Village Road.

The crab/spaghetti menu, including salad, garlic bread and dessert takes place from 5 – 7 p.m. followed by live and silent auctions benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the club Guatemala project.

Live rock and blues supplied by the Back to Nowhere Band feature lead singer and current Scotts Valley Rotary president Cheryl Rebottaro from 7:30 – 9 p.m.

$40 adults - youth under 10 - $15 Adult price includes one beverage ticket for beer or wines by Scotts Valley’s newest winery, 37th Parallel.

Scotts Valley residents Les Wright and Michael Curtis started their winery in 2005 as something fun to do on the side. In an article for Scotts Valley Patch, Shannon Burkey wrote, “The winery, which was bonded in 2009, makes about 300 cases a year. Wright says each year they make a pinot and chardonnay, then alternate other varietals, such as dolcetto, merlot, sauvignon blanc, syrah and cabernet sauvignon, making about four to five different varietals a year. The grapes come from several places, including the Santa Cruz Mountains, Napa, and Calaveras County.

Dance to Back to Nowhere Band of Santa Cruz

Based in Santa Cruz, Back to Nowhere plays danceable rock and blues music. Members of Back To Nowhere have played together over the years with Slick Magee and the Leftovers, Fender Benders, Space Heaters, Itzu Mau Mau, Graham Hill Band.
