Scott Lago leaves Olympic Games Saturday after racy pictures emerge. Scotty Lago won the Bronze medal at the 2010 Olympic Games last week, and Saturday he apologized and left the Olympic games after some racy photos emerged. Lago won the Bronze medal Wednesday for a Snowboarding event.
Two photos of Scotty Lago appeared Friday morning on TMZ.com. In one photo, a fan is kissing Bronze medal while it is positioned just below Lago’s waist. In the second photo, the unidentified fan is biting the medal while it hung around his neck.
Lago apologized to the US Olympic Committee and volunteered to leave the Olympic Games, and he left Vancouver on Saturday. It was Lago’s first trip to the Olympic Games. He was not scheduled to compete in any more games during the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Saturday, in a written statement, the US Ski and Snowboard Association President and CEO, Bill Marolt said:
"Scotty Lago is a great athlete, but with that comes a responsibility of proper conduct and his involvement in this situation is not acceptable. Scotty realizes his conduct was inappropriate. He has formally apologized and also made a decision to leave Vancouver today."

The TMZ website polled people about whether they thought he should’ve left the Olympic Games because of the photos, and 160,000 people responded…80% agreed with this statement:
"He's a snowboarder for cryin' out loud. They should have cut him a break."
