Over the last 24 hours, rumors of Scott Hall returning to the WWE have been buzzing on the internet. Hall, who's still receiving treatment in rehab, has been out of the WWE since 2002 after McMahan brought in the NWO. According to a Thursday January 12th report by WrestlignInc.com, Scott Hall's Youtube Channel made the following announcement:
"Quick update on Scott Hall, he's doing very well in rehab and will be evaluated for his release soon. WWE has been monitoring his stay so you may see him on another channel soon."
As much as the WWE fans would love to see Hall back in the promotion that made him a national star as Razor Ramon, the odds are against him due to his rocky past with the WWE and his highly publicized battle with drugs.
Hall wrestled with the WWE from 1992 to 1996 and became one of the top stars in the company as "The Bad Guy" Razor Ramon. His "coolness" and look made him a hit with the wrestling fans. His size and in-ring talents made his matches exciting to watch. However, Hall decided to jump to WCW in 1996 and was a founding member of one of wrestling's most popular groups the NWO. Hall's participation in the NWO took his career to even higher levels.
After Vince McMahon bought WCW in 2001, the NWO (Hogan, Nash, and Hall) debuted in the WWE in early 2002. However, Hall was only there for a few months before being released. Over the last few years, there have been many within the WWE lobbying for Hall's return. He probably would have been back sooner if not for his personal demons. If the WWE decides to bring him in, Hall would be a perfect fit for the storyline that developed between Nash and HHH. Hall would also be a perfect candidate for the HOF.
