Is former WWE star Scott Hall dying? According to WrestleZone on Feb. 14, Hall told fellow wrestling legends Diamond Dallas Page and Jake "The Snake" Roberts that he is a "dying man."
To catch you up with the story, Jake Roberts' life had spiraled out of control and he found himself a precautionary tale un the world of professional wrestling, a man who took one of the best careers in the industry and flushed it down the toilet, trading it for drugs and alcohol.
The documentary "Beyond the Mat" told his story with great clarity.
Roberts was tired of playing the victim and reached out to Dallas Page, a certified yoga instructor who promised that he could help turn Jake's life around. Roberts accepted, agreed to sober up, and has now lost 50 pounds and is preparing to return to the wrestling ring for his farewell tour, going out the way he wants to go out.
That brings the subject to another precautionary tale, that of Scott Hall. Just like Roberts, Hall was on top of the wrestling world but alcohol played a large role in his demise. His own best friends, men like Triple H and Kevin Nash, have given up because he never seems to accept their help.
Dallas Page reached out to Hall as well after Sean Waltman called him and made the request. Thanks to Roberts' success, Hall agreed to come and try to get his life back under control as well. He never showed up.
In a recent video, Roberts and Page called Hall to make the invitation again and Hall told them he was dying. He also said he drinks vodka for breakfast. Page and Roberts tried to convince Hall and the former champion said he felt a "spiritual awakening" and promised to be at Page's by the weekend.
Whether he makes the trip this time is up to him, but for Scott Hall dying, the man's chances might be running out.
