Two of San Diego's most recognizable voices will make their way from the airwaves onto televisions throughout the county.

According to Fox Sports San Diego, Scott Kaplan and Billy Ray Smith will host a seven-part series that will give viewers an inside scoop on local athletes and other special guests. The show will feature interviews, commentary and analysis much like their current radio program in addition to provide exclusive content unique to the new platform.

The first episode will air on Tuesday, July 22 following the San Diego Padres post-game show, #SDLive.

The duo, which has worked together for the past 15 years, is expected to bring their familiar fusion of humor and sports knowledge while continuing to host their radio show.

Scott & BR on San Diego's The Mighty 1090 currently airs Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m, PT. An evening show has the potential to broaden their current drive-time audience and enhance their popularity in the area.

Kaplan and Smith are prominent figures who frequently make appearances at charity causes and notable events in greater San Diego. Both are former members of the San Diego Chargers and staples among the sports community.
