Scott Ainslie brings his Acoustic Blues to the Western Maryland Blues Fest

The award winning acoustic guitarist Scott Ainslie brings his blues to the Western Maryland Blues Fest in Hagerstown, Maryland on Friday, May 30, 2014. Ainslie is scheduled to kick off the music on Friday taking the stage at 4:30 PM. Scott is one of four bands to perform on Friday as part of "The Lotta Blues Kickoff."

Scott Ainslie has released three albums of acoustic, root blues. In addition he has released an album of original non-blues music and an album of African and African-America music. Even in his non-blues work elements of the blues probably exist. Ainslie also teaches guitar and has written a book and created an instructional DVD on playing the Delta Blues in the tradition of the great Robert Johnson. His traditional music fits in well with a blues festival which is celebrating a 19-year old tradition of bringing the best blues to Hagerstown. The festival takes part in the City Parking Lots in downtown Hagerstown, Maryland off of North Potomac Street. Tickets for Friday's show ranges from $20-30.
