Men are finally telling in Scotland, and the government there has decided it’s time to do something about it.
From the Edinburgh Evening News:
Over the decade, the overall level of domestic abuse has soared by around 33 per cent, while incidents involving male victims has grown by over 220 per cent.
Victim Support Scotland (VSS) said the dramatic increase showed men now felt more confident about reporting domestic abuse.
A spokesman said: "There has been an under-reporting of cases in the past. We have noticed an increase in recent years in the number of male victims coming forward and we now provide a service to all these people.
"It's the old thing that victims of domestic abuse find it difficult to admit to other people the situation they are in."He said VSS offered free confidential support to all victims, whether it be pointing them in the right direction for psychological help or other forms of support. Read more here

I think the rate of violence against men in Texas would go up a 1,000 percent of anyone in these domestic violence programs cared to really look at the problem.
Look at the garbage that goes on in Texas... I woman slits the throats of two of her little kids, killing one, then calmly calls 911 - the cold-blooded killer gets a promise from the prosecutor of life, no death penalty. That DA is encouraging woman killing children.
What!? No death penalty for cold-blooded killer women in Texas? Of course not! The media was making excuses for her behavior almost immediately. Let me ask you this: If Susan Smith in South Carolina were a man, would the punishment be life?
LOL! Laws and special treatment for women perpetrators in the U.S. and especially Texas are out of control. Women in Texas have a license to kill men and children.
Men are not going to come forward in Texas, or any other part of the country, until the justice system gets a clue and men are treated equitably.
