That didn’t stop Tigres, they continued to threaten the Scorpions goal, but their keeper on loan from Houston Dynamo, Deric, was able to stay strong to keep Tigres out.

Tigres continued to attack and in the 26th minute as Vendrechovsky was able to get a powerful shot away which was denied by another solid save from Deric at full stretch.

Deric’s good work kept the score down to just the one at half-time which kept the team still in the hunt as the match headed to the second half.

Tigres started the second half well and 13 minutes in to the half they doubled their lead as Damian Alvarez squared the ball for Lugo who was able to tap-in the second.
