The San Antonio Scorpions have made two signings with Danny Barrera and Jonathan Fana joining the club it was announced on Wednesday.
Barrera joins the club from Atlanta where he was an impressive force in midfield for the Silverbacks regularly proving a creative force for the Silverbacks through his three years at the club.
The Colombian had a stellar season for the Silverbacks in 2013, making 17 assists, enough to put him second in the league which should help the Scorpions goal scoring.
The midfielder has proved to be an ironman for his clubs playing every match and 1,600 minutes for the SIlverbacks, vital for a team that struggled with injury in 2013.
Eric Wynalda is responsible for bringing Barrera to NASL after he played in that infamous Cal FC side that made a run in the US Open Cup before Wynalda and thus a number of players were signed by Atlanta.
