Scoreband goes Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

September 29, 2013

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so that means you will be seeing a lot of pink in the coming weeks, but it's all for a good reason.

You'll be hard pressed to find a single person who doesn't have a connection to someone that was stricken with the awful disease that is breast cancer.

The good folks at Scoreband are doing their part in that they have been offering a Pink Ribbon version of the Scoreband since April. Scoreband is also donating $5 for every one purchased from the website, Play for PINK or at www.scoreband.net.

“One of our missions when starting out was to find ways to give back. Teaming with Play For PINK - a great organization that integrates fundraising through sporting activities like golf and tennis tournaments - is a perfect opportunity to accomplish this with our sports-based product. So many lives have been affected by the disease - directly or indirectly - myself included - we are grateful to be in a position to lend a hand in combatting it." explains Jody Murdough, Founder and President of One Seed, LLC.

The Scoreband is simply a scorekeeping device for tennis or golf, or just general scorekeeping.

It's a lightweight silicone wristband that includes a negative ion emitting material and an easy to read LCD display that can quickly and easily give you scores and statistics.
