W Times Square and W Downtown Offer Unique Cocktail Menu Inspired By Traditional Tailgating Food; Exclusive W Skyboxes Available

WHAT: Super Bowl XLVIII is coming to the Big Apple for the first time and W Hotels in New York is inviting guests in to mix, mingle and play. From January 27 – February 2, W New York – Times Square and W New York – Downtown will be offerings guests and locals alike a truly unique cocktail menu in their famed Living Rooms, allowing those who aren’t at the big game to be in on the action and out of the cold.

For both die-hard football fans and those just looking to join in on the fun, W Times Square and W Downtown are transforming their Living Rooms into vibrant and stylish places to view the game while enjoying a boozy twist on tailgating classics. Bacon, barbecue, jalapeno poppers and lemonade have all been given a traditional W twist and turned into delectable delights that are drinkable all the way through the quarterback’s final throw. Cocktails include:

Jalapeno Popper Margarita

In a shaker, muddle:

3 pcs. muddled jalapeno (no seeds)

Add: 1 ½ oz Casamigos Blanco Tequila

½ oz. Cointreau

½ oz. simple syrup

1 ½ oz. fresh lime juice

Top with ice and shake

Serve in rocks glass over ice

Garnish w/ jalapeno slice

Barbecue Bloody Mary

1 ½ oz. organic tomato vodka

4 ½ oz house made infused spicy bloody mary mix

½ BBQ sauce

Garnish with celery, lemon and olive

Buffalo Cocktail

1 ½ oz. Organic Meyer Lemon Vodka

4 ½ oz fresh carrot juice

¾ oz fresh orange juice

1 teaspoon carrot base (lemon, lime, Worcestershire, Tabasco, celery salt, fresh ground pepper, Horseradish)

1 dash celery bitters

3 large basil leaves

Shred basil leaves in mixing glass, add base and bitters then muddle, add remaining ingredients, shake, pour over ice/hi-ball/garnish with carrot top/greens

Bourbon Sweet Tea

3 pieces muddled lemon and lime

½ oz. simple syrup

½ oz. Dolin Rouge

1 ½ Buffalo Trace bourbon

1 oz. unsweetened black tea

Shake, Strain over ice in a rocks glass

Serve with lemon wheel with dusting of loose tea
