Scientists say they have found a lake so pristine and pure that its water is clear enough for viewers to see the lake bottom a full 30-feet down. According to a June 4 report from Yahoo! News, scientists have uncovered what they are calling “God's bathtub” in Australia.
“God's bathtub,” which is formally called “Blue Lake” is reportedly in the exact state it has been in for the last 7,500 years. Unlike some other nearby lakes, “God's bathtub” has not been affected by the climate or humans.
Scientists revealed that the water from “God’s bathtub” drains into a nearby swamp, and is replaced by a “aquifer every 35 days or so.”
Dr. Cameron Barr told reporters that something as small as a sunscreen sample could: “alter the lake’s chemistry.”
Now that “God's bathtub” is known to exist, how long do you think it will take for humans to impact the natural state of the water?
