Some people think that science can't touch theology, as if they are in two different domains. However, there are many theological claims that are being made, that can be directly tested with science. For example, the Roman Catholic Church is the largest Christian denomination by far, but they still believe that all humans today are the descendants of one human couple (Adam and Eve), from which we have all inherited original sin. The idea that we all descended from one couple is disproved by biological evolution. This is because evolution happens over time and within a population; in no way does one species give birth to another in just one generation. That is just one example from the essay.
