Sci-fi world mourns loss of Steve Jobs

On October 5, 2011 the world lost a talented man, talented in many genres, way too soon. His name was Steve Jobs. Jobs was the former CEO of Apple Inc., a company that sci-fi gamers, gamers of any genre, know all too well.

Steve Jobs died at 56, with his family near, of pancreatic cancer.

Apple Inc. was Jobs baby so to be speak, and much of Apple is credited with the enjoyment gamers have had and continue to have when it comes to their gameplay interaction.

Some history of video games themselves include: A video game genre is defined by a set of gameplay challenges and are classified independent of their setting or game-world content, unlike other works of fiction such as films or books.

For example, an action game is still an action game, regardless of whether it takes place in a fantasy world or in outer space.

When it comes to sci-fi, space flight simulator games are a sub-genre and example of science fiction itself.

These games involve piloting a spacecraft. Space simulators are different from other sub-genres, and are not generally considered to be simulators, as their simulated objects do not always exist and often disregard the laws of physics.

Portal 2, Lego Star Wars, Lego Batman and Angry Aliens are just a few of the many sci-fi related video games, in this case what is available for Mac.

Whether one is a fan of Apple or computers in general, sci-fi genre, video games, you name it, all have been touched in some way by Steve Jobs.

Furious Fanboys is one of many sci-fi sites that mourns the loss of Steve Jobs.

Fans can go to their site and see Steve Jobs' Memorial or add your own email condolence at Apple.com.
