Over the weekend, reports have come out that the WWE is putting the "full court press" on bodybuilding legend, actor and politician Arnold Schwarzenegger to induct legendary pro-wrestler Bruno Sammartino into the WWE HOF on April 6th. According to a March 3rd report by F4WOnline.com, WWE's Triple H was working on this deal over the weekend while both he and Bruno attended the Arnold Classic.
Arnold Schwarzenegger has made a few appearances over the years with the WWE. Additionally, his legendary bodybuilding career has crossed paths with Bruno and HHH, two men who have a history of dedication to incredible physiques.
With Arnold apparently WWE's choice to induct Bruno, that means that Ivan Koloff is out of the running. Last week, there was a report that Koloff was lobbying to induct Bruno. The two men have been great friends for several decades now. However, it appears that this report was inaccurate, as many reports are when it comes to the online "dirt sheets". Koloff made the following comments about this report via his FaceBook page:
It has come to my attention that someone started a rumor recently saying that I wanted to induct Bruno into the WWE Hall of Fame... This is simply not true. I am aware that my friend Arnold is being asked and I think he should induct Bruno. I had previously stated on Facebook that I would be honored to be inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame this year if the fans would email their yes vote in to WWE. I hope that this will clear up this rumor. God Bless you all.
Thanks to Koloff for clearing this up. And count me as one who believes the "Russian Bear" should be in the WWE HOF.
