Schumacher's wife is keeping vigil by his bedside as he fights for his life in a hospital in France. On Jan. 2, Mail Online posted photos of Corinna Schumacher as she arrived at Grenoble Hospital to be with her husband for the fourth consecutive day. F1 racer Michael Schumacher was admitted there on Sunday following a skiing accident that left him in critical condition.
"Corinna of course, is really not good. But she is trying to be strong for Michael, to give him support and not allow negative thoughts to reach him," said Schumacher's manager, Sabine Kehm. As you can imagine, this is definitely taking its toll on Corinna.
Schumacher's wife's vigil has been very positive. She has surrounded her husband with pictures and mementos of the couple's children and she has lit candles in his hospital room. Michael Schumacher's condition has not been updated by the hospital but the media and fans of the Formula One driver have been waiting for some positive news. So far, there has not been any.
Michael Schumacher was injured when he tried to assist a child on the slopes while skiing at the French resort of Meribel. Schumacher reportedly lost control of his own skis and fell, hitting his head on a rock.
Schumacher's wife has kept vigil every day since the accident.
